NONE MORE METAL
With inspiration from Nigel, and with an assist from VH1, we've now got yet another excuse to party on the magical date of 11.11.11 -- "National Metal Day." Here at the Phoenix, we're celebrating by putting BLACK SABBATH on the cover -- although you should totally go re-read our metal issue from over the summer -- and also by teaming up with our friends at MASSCONCERTS to give away a golden ticket to 15 of this winter's raddest metal shows.
One winner will get the grand prize: a pair of tickets to each of the shows listed below.
But first -- in the spirit of a day that reads the same backwards as forwards -- you've got to come up with the most metal palindrome ever. Here's how to win:
- Go to our Facebook page and if you're not a fan already, become one. All winners have to be fans of the Phoenix on Facebook.
- Post on our wall with your MOST METAL PALINDROME EVER. (An example of a really metal palidrome would be SATAN OSCILLATE MY METALLIC SONATAS. And no, you can't use that one.)
- You have to post your most metal palindrome ever on our Facebook wall by 11.11.11 at 11:11 am. For those of you who can't read dates, that's Friday morning, so hurry up. (By the way: Googling palindromes is a totally acceptable strategy.)
- We'll pick the absolute bestest metal palindrome of all time and notify the winner on Friday. We've also got some single-show ticket pairs to give away to the runners up.
