[video] The Strokes "Under Cover of Darkness" @ Coachella

There was a point during Sunday night's STROKES performance at Coachella, sometime between a fuck ton of people in an open field singing the chorus of "Hard To Explain" and catching Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons grabbing WFNX's Paul Driscoll and going bat-shit bonkers, when all the Angles talk, comeback critiques, and dissertations about the current state of New York's greatest rock band of the 2000s just... went away.

What we were left with was a band with an unmistakable place in history, a killer summer anthem (this here "Under Cover Of Darkness") and despite some raspy tinges in Julian Casablancas voice and some very apparent non-chemistry among J-Cazz and the band between songs, this was simply one hell of a way to help close out a fantastic Coachella 2011  -- the perfect Daniel Bard 8th inning to Kanye West's Jonathan Papelbon in shutting it all down, if you will.
