VIDEO: Dirty Projectors, "Stillness is the Move," live at the House of Blues

We'll have more on this show later, including photos and a review, but for now we'd really like to give you a taste of last night's TV on the Radio/Dirty Projectors extravaganza at the HoBo. Above is the fast-becoming-legendary DPs-do-Mary-J-Blige song "Stillness is the Move," which probably on its own sold a couple dozen tickets to that Somerville Theatre show coming up later this month. If you're in a hurry, I'd recommend skipping ahead to about 3:00 in, when Amber Coffman really starts letting loose.

VIDEO: TV on the Radio, "Red Dress"

And here is TV on the Radio doing "Red Dress," from the still-awesome Dear Science,. Sorry the beginning is cut off, I had to act fast to get my camera deployed.

That show was amazing! Just watching these videos and looking at the pictures brings me back to the HOB, where I was lucky enough to be right in front of the stage. At first everyone was shyly nodding their heads to the beat of the Dirty Projectors, but by the end of the set, we were all amazed. TVoTR brought down the house, and all I remember is looking around and seeing everyone at one with the music. My soul was in the sounds of the bands, moving the beat, feeling myself taken away into another world...and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more!
