Moonsigns
Today: March 27, 2012
Waxing moon in Gemini. New ideas come with short attention spans. Myriad options could vex Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces (you’re not seeing the big picture). But others (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Taurus, Aries, Cancer, Leo, Capricorn, and Scorpio) may find today exciting for reversing direction, or for communicating to a wider group. Gemini moons are excellent for writing — don’t you have a poem about spring in you somewhere?
This week: March 23, 2012
This week, the moon is new, so you’ll see a tiny sliver emerge over the weekend. I wonder if the Rev. John Michell looked up at the night sky during 1783, when he wondered about a cosmic phenomena he called the “dark star,” which we renamed the “black hole” in 1967. In between, Einstein dubbed these the “Schwarzschild singularity.” And if I told you all those terms were band names, you wouldn’t doubt me. As for astrology, Mercury and Mars retrograde makes for do-si-do conflicting signals. Commitment-phobes will float and, though gravity will win, it will take a while.

About MoonSigns
This horoscope traces the passage of the moon, not the sun. Simply read from day to day to watch the moon’s influence as it moves through the signs of the zodiac.
When the moon is in your sun sign (e.g., you’re a Taurus and the moon is in Taurus), you are beginning a new 28-day emotional cycle. Expect increased insight and emotional responses during this two day period. The moon changes sign approximately every 2.5 days, so it’s influence is intense, but ultimately brief. Now, when the moon is in the sign opposite your sun sign, expect some ups and downs. Here are the oppositions: Aries, Libra. Taurus, Scorpio. Gemini, Sagittarius. Cancer, Capricorn. Leo, Aquarius and Virgo, Pisces.
As the moon between signs, it will sometimes become "void of course," and make no major angles to planets. Consider this a null time and try to avoid decision-making or implementing decisions if you can. It is an excellent period for creativity, unexpected encounters, and quirky outcomes.
