Creativity. In the recording process, it can be more elusive than a killer drum sound or the perfect vocal compression. It's a hundred times more important than any piece of gear, yet it's often missing from even the most well-equipped studio. At Big Sound, we seek to fill this void and set ourselves apart from the veritable sea of studios out there. We're a studio run by musicians, with the experience to help you realize your ideas, from pre-production to mastering and duplication, and everything in between. Most importantly, we'll help you create the vibe that makes the ideas worth capturing, and we'll capture it with the best gear and technique available.
We offer 2" 24 track analog recording and 1/2" analog mixdown, for the fattest analog sound you can imagine. If digital is your cup of tea, we do that, too. Our ProTools|HD systems and tons of killer plugins allow you to always get the sound you are looking for. We've got great sounding rooms that offer both ample space and isolation. To top it all off, our facility includes a four bedroom apartment with a kitchen (at no extra charge, of course) so that no matter where you live, you can lock out the studio without worrying about a commute or wasting your recording budget on hotels and bad take-out food.
