MORE ABOUT ESTHER VIOLA
Currently relocated in Boston, MA after ten years in the Netherlands, oboist/vocalist Esther Viola performs with local creative music, free jazz/improv and experimental musicians, as well as working with composers playing contemporary works, and joining in Brazilian instrumental choro jams. For the 2009-2010 season, she received support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Cambridge Arts Council as a co-producer of the monthly Vortex series for new and improvised music in Cambridge, MA. She has also appeared at the OpenSound series in Somerville and with the Chagall Performance Art Collaborative. She now co-produces The Junk Kitchen concert series with Ben Dicke, at the Outpost 186 in Cambridge.
