MORE ABOUT HIGH HOPES BAND
The High Hopes Band is considered one of New England's premiere reggae bands. High Hopes prides itself on continuing the tradition of roots/orthodox style reggae (classic 70's period) with an updated feel for today.
Jahsun has backed Fanton Mojah & Yami Bolo as well as opened for Luciano, Midnite, and Morgan Heritage and is no playing keys for High Hopes. Holding down the bass in the pocket is Jules Feola, the only female reggae bass player many have seen in all New England, and my friends, she'd even give Flabba a run for his money! O'Genga runs the band from behind the kit, adding his own style and years of experience playing with Israel Vibration. Our newest additon to the crew is guitarist Orlando Velasquez, ripping some serious guitar and waves!! Orlando brings soulfulness, vibe, and style. Look out for tracks produced by Orlando soon. Longtime percusion player Paddy McDonnell is trasitioning nicely into our 2nd keyboard spot. Keep it up bredren!
Currently High Hopes works with many artists has backed Judah Eskener Tafari, Nourish, Lady Lee, Jahriffe, Jah Bless, O Jinga, Massagan to name a few.
