MORE ABOUT LIMA CHARLIE
Amongst the crop of talent in the current Brooklyn, NY scene, Lima Charlie is poised to break out. Having played NYC and Brooklyn venues such as Knitting Factory, Luna Lounge, Arlene's Grocery, CBGB, and sold out the famous Rothko, the band has steadily gained a fan base in New York. Through word of mouth, a tour of the Northwest which included stops in Portland, OR and the 3900 Ft. Festival on Mt. Hood, radio and podcast airplay, and internet promotions, that base is growing nationwide on the strength of the releases "More Medication, Please" (2005) and "It's So Easy To Be Creepy" (2007). Their third release, "Easy Kill," is due in April 2009, coinciding with a tour of the Northeast. Influenced not only by modern artists such as Beck, Ween, Radiohead, and Sonic Youth, but also by legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan, Lima Charlie focuses the attention on the group interplay when playing live, improvises on its repertoire, and always delivers a high energy performance.
