Hailing from Moorestown, New Jersey, The Once Was is an eclectic four-piece indie rock band descending from the creative zealot that is the home recording studio. Collaborating existential lyrical themes with progressive indie-pop sensibilities and theoretical musical notions, the band brings an energetic and surprising live show to audiences and enthusiasts alike. Financially fueled by the success of their self recorded ep, "Silence," the band entered legendary Studio 4 in Philadelphia to record their full length, "Post War Parade," released april 1 2009 on Owl Drop records.
