MORE ABOUT ALTERNATIVE NATION
Alternative Nation was formed in Springfield, Massachusetts in the fall of 2008, with the band’s name coming from an MTV show hosting the alternative/grunge/rock music of the early to mid 90’s. Also known as the “Seattle Sound” or “Generation X”. The band focuses on playing music from bands that include, but are not limited to, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, and Smashing Pumpkins. In just a short period of time the band has worked out over one hundred songs. Their very impressive song list including the hits, one hit wonders, B-sides, and rarities from the alternative era.
The band is made up of four incredibly talented and experienced musicians. Although this is a new band, all four members have built quite an extensive following each on their own. They have a wealth of stage and touring experience, (and intend on building more together with this current lineup.)
With their extensive song list and a demand growing stronger for this style and era of music, the band’s fan base ranges from ages 21 - 45 plans to make 2009 the return of Alternative/Grunge/Buzz Rock.
The bands goal is to create a fun party atmosphere for all who want to enjoy themselves
