MORE ABOUT SADBASTARDGOESPOP
With a hard-hitting sound from producer Richard Marr at Galaxy Park Studios (The Sheila Divine, Gravel Pit, Sebadoh), the power and prowess of this Boston quartet shines via inordinately catchy hook-streaked pop that is instantly familiar yet, in this age of blandness and posing, daring in its honesty.
Their new CD "I" was released by Weasel Shifter in November 2009.
Full of polished power-pop, āIā (pronounced as Roman numeral one) starts off in classic toe-tapper style and stays relaxed, straightforward, and, most of all, rocking. The songs are catchy, muscular, utterly sincere, and just what rock should be: smart, loud, fun, and over in three minutes.
Colin O'Day, vocals and guitar; Jimmy Rochelle, drums; Bud Silveria, guitar and vocals; Bernardo Aumond, bass.
