MORE ABOUT NYTMARE
I was born and raised in Main South Worcester's LakeSide Apartments. And like many of my generation I ran the gauntlet of urban hardships and adversity; being born to an impoverished single parent. Fortunately I was able to find solice in hiphop, a music that captivated the very essence of despair many of us faced.
At the age of 12 I began to write my own lyrics simply as an additional outlet to express my thoughts. Combined with an academic prowness for poetry and vocabulary; I slowly began developing a unique style of my own. With arab-centric bravado and themes; I would prepare various verses to use in battles which took place each morning. It was infact from this ritual that my MC tag derived.
Through various other stages and endeavors in my life, my passion for music only grew stronger. Eclectic in taste; I was influenced by many different kinds of music. I progressively continued to develope as an artist and incorporate the many facets of my life into my own style. Some people have praised me for my unique voice, flow and style of lyricism. Others have discounted me for my choice of beats, themes of tracks and a style unlike the local norm. Either way I really don't give a fuck what you think. I make music, because I love music. It's in me... it's in my blood. If I were to never release the music I make I would be content. I never make songs for other people; I make them because it's what I am feeling. That's what music is supposed to be about right?
