MORE ABOUT MAPPARI

Mappari's fresh sound, hyper talent, and relentless self-promotion have earned them a reputable position in Boston's music scene since their sold out show at the Kendall Cafe in 1999. The band has rocked some of Boston's most popular live music venues, including Avalon, Bill's Bar, The Paradise, The Middle East, TT the Bear's, and The Tweeter Center. Mappari has sold over 8,000 copies of their first EP through a variety of independent promotional efforts. Mappari has worked with key industry professionals including Rob Stevens, who has produced bands and artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Lennon, and Yoko Ono.

Mappari (derived from a geographical word that means "where sound never dies") consists of Will Dailey (guitar, vocals, and song writer), Cris Driscoll (guitar and vocals), Glen Cancelleire (bass), and Anthony Burulcich (drums). Cris, Glen, and Anthony, originally from Long Island, NY, have been playing together since 1996. In 1998 the trio joined forces with Will Dailey to form Mappari. Will Dailey, Mappari's founder and tireless front man, is the band's lead singer, guitarist and songwriter. Under Will's leadership and independent booking initiatives, Mappari has toured throughout the United States playing over 300 shows at a diversity of impressive venues. Mappari has opened for G Love and The Special Sauce (Epic) and Rustic Overtones (Tommy Boy). Mappari has also participated in a number of competitive events, including an entertainment showcase for Sony Records.

Mappari has enjoyed tremendous success in Boston, New York and the rest of New England and continues to thrive in the live music market. The band's mailing distribution list consists of over 15,000 recipients and Mappari continues to play sold-out shows. Mappari's first full-length album, High enough to Notice, was released in June of 2001.
