MORE ABOUT ZACH MACKO
Zach Macko, 24, from Madison, NJ is a true to the heart songwriter who writes and performs music that evokes powerful emotions. Through his heartfelt lyrics, penetrating guitar and powerful, resonating vocals Macko captivates listeners of all ages. After two years of recording at 303 Studios in New York City studio with producer Charles Cale, he released his debut album Songs From My Room in October 2004.
Songs From My Room poetically scripts the ins and outs of love and life in a small town. The songs are drawn from Macko’s personal experiences, from songs like Paradise which is about hanging out with friends to The Words which is the last attempt to rekindle a love even though you know it’s over. Macko describes his songs and his unique song writing process as “painfully autobiographical, but therapeutic at the same time.”
His songwriting and music is creating a buzz with A&R Reps, Producers, Publishing Companies, Artists, Major Record labels and most importantly fans. Recently there has been a boom in CD sales nationally and internationally. Fans have purchased his album Songs From My Room all across the country and overseas in places like England, China, Australia, and Denmark. His music has been featured in Ads for XM radio and an Australian Film “Betting Blind”.
Zach Macko and his five-piece band have been touring in support of their debut release and draw more fans with each show. They are currently in the studio recording their yet to be titled second album with producer Charles Cale, due out Summer 2006. The new album will be a more polished, fuller sound, but the songwriting will be true to Macko’s sound, fans and critics will love this album. When not in the studio with his band, Macko is working on other material and projects with Producer Peter Wade (Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony) and Producer Craig Bauer (Kayne West).
