MORE ABOUT OCEANSTATE
OceanState, as a whole, began in the summer of 2004. The quintet was formed from the passion and love of the same music. Beginning from house parties and expanding to larger shows and acts. OceanState over the past few years has created a large fan base in the New England area. They have joined the stage with such bands as Riverside, Sucka Brown, On the Drop, Roots Down Below, Orange Jam Conspiracy, Formal Action, Multiverse, Suspect, State Radio, Sound System, M-80, Fistful of Steel, and Badfish. They will also being releasing a full length album hopefully before the summer of 2006. Although there is no specific label to this genre of music, some call it rock/reggae/funk. Whatever the style, OceanState brings high energy and a positive vibe to every show and the promise of a good time.
