last updated 03.12.06. we performed an experiment at RISD in which we gave a group of musically untrained persons varying amounts of unspecified drugs. then we put those people in a room filled with musical gear, locked the door and told them to try and come up with something original. the songs posted here are taken from the results of that flawed yet elemental process, the self-titled debut cd from the now-permanent out of left field. surprising as it may seem, this band plays songs that contain actual feeling and melody. think back to the days when a band wrote album tracks as opposed to disposable radio commercials to get an idea of our sound...no catchy-upbeat melodies here either. clouded lyrical subject matter washes together strikingly alongside obscure musical references in these often-way-too-long-for-the-average-listeners-patience soundtracks with vocals. have a listen to our mp3's and if you like the songs, go ahead and download them for free.
