MORE ABOUT JIMMY JACK STARK
Jimmy Jack Stark is a synthesis of diverse musical influences wrapped in rough-around-the-edges veneer. Grounded in 60's and 70's pop-rock, the band deems their music "songs for the discriminating short-attenion spanned," a nod to the modern channel surfing culture.
Following the demise of previous ensembles and armed with a cache of tuneful duties, band co-founders James Erik Stark and Jeff Drury headed for their own Aaronaut Studios in whose cozy environs Jimmy Jack Stark was born. The ensuing disc, Power Tools and Pop Music, features Erik's vocals and guitar, Jeff on bass and guitar and the performances of some special friends.
With the recording finished and released on their Aaronaut label, Erik and Jedd added drummer Kevin Morin, while singer/songwriter Roger Paquette came on baord with his tunes, vocals and guitar in June 2000. The band, now a full fledge four, forges ahead, writing and performing new material and honing their dynamic pop-rock soundscape.
