To call Portland, Oregon, husband-and-wife duo-turned-full-band Viva Voce’s recent music “bedroom pop” might be pigeonholing the group a tad. Sure, there are elements of shoegaze here — and they’ve got some seriously dreamy vibes, mostly attributed to lead singer Anita Robinson’s dewy vocals — but at the heart, they’re a more of a rock band.
