While we wouldn't recommend Po' Boys and Pickles for a first date — waaaaaaay too messy, especially the perfect pulled pork, served spilling out of its crusty French roll with spicy Cajun coleslaw tucked alongside — we'd advise it for pretty much any other sandwich-desiring situation. Carrying out the New Orleans po' boys tradition, this friendly Forest Avenue spot serves up hearty sandwiches at affordable prices, with quality ingredients (the fried oyster po' boy, with roasted pepper mayo, is another favorite).
