Eastern Prom

The grass slopes down from the road into the shore. Pick a patch to lay yourself down and gaze off out into Casco Bay and all its tiny islands. The sun sparkles off the water and warms your cheeks, the sailboats dance across the waves, the sun sets. It’s one of the prettiest spots in Portland, a way of escaping the city without leaving it. Parking is free, the biking is great, the beachfront is lovely. It’s another one of those spots that makes us a lucky lot to live where we do.
