Corner Room
While last summer’s unveiling of the Corner Room represented a rigatoni-shaped notch in the belt of food impresario Harding Smith, the real premio here is barkeep John Myers. This building hasn’t held an artist so talented since it was the Salt Institute. But beyond Myers’s cocktails, the sprawling wine menu, warm décor, and cozy location, the Corner Room simply does what a number of restaurants cannot: make a delicious Italian dish that you wouldn’t be able to make at home.
