Everyone used to moan and groan about how Portland lacked a good late-night food option that didn’t involve delivery or (shudder) walking to Commercial Street. Now that Otto is here, open until 2 on the nights that matter, no one complains about that. Instead, they complain about being poor (irrelevant with huge $3 slices) or miserable (impossible after a bite of this superior pie). This is a major step forward in Portland’s social discourse. Otto doesn’t serve pizza; it improves lives, sometimes with bacon and mashed potato.
