Best Jazz Venue

Blue

While most of the week at Barry Martin’s five-year-old Arts District bar is filled with folk, old-time, and Irish music, it’s been satisfying to see Blue (and its patrons) devoting time to jazz every Saturday, some Fridays, and even the odd weekday. It’s where the venue — stocked with a small but ideal selection of wines, microbrews, and cheeses — seems most at home, a boho oasis on Congress Street’s trickiest block. Supreme talents like Titus Abbott and Mark Tipton help too.
