Rosie's

Last year, Playboy magazine described dive bars thusly: "A church for down-and-outers and those who romanticize them, a rare place where high and low rub elbows — bums and poets, thieves and slumming celebrities. It's a place that wears it's history proudly." Rosie's, with its dim lighting, darts, free popcorn, warm but no-nonsense staff, and cross-section clientele, fits this description to a T (if you consider local thespians "slumming celebrities"). Plus, it has something most dive bars don't: Good food.
