We can't complain much here in the Portland area about the films we get to see. The Nickelodeon, the Movies at the Museum, even the Frontier and Railroad Square, have all treated local moviegoers to cinematic pleasures they would probably have not viwed otherwise. But something is missing. More exotic surroundings, perhaps. A break from business as usual. Somehow, despite its charms, the Cinemagic Grand just doesn't match up to the Croisette at Cannes or the Lido in Venice.
