Mixing it all up
For a town that should pride itself on producing hyper-literary, bearded, indie hip-hop types, Brzowski has become something of an institution. A dark, grumbly, flame-throwing presence, he's an outsider who has become an insider thanks to sheer talent. He is profane and prescient, insightful and spiteful, a guy who can offend you and impress you at the same time.Last year, he kept our attention with a mix-tape, Blooddrive Vol. 2: The Wreckage Between. It was full of guest appearances, including French rap, that shows the respect Brzowski has earned in New England, the US, and far beyond. He's becoming a standard bearer for the DIY set, a guy to whom other artists gravitate. This year he promises something more polished and complete, likely released with Milled Pavement.
