Fear not, UNDERAGE MUSIC LOVERS! Just as THE STATION has gone from your lives, we've received word that the all-ages HUB will soon be booking shows on the SMCC CAMPUS in South Portland, and sports a 4000 capacity. According to manager Rocky, "we're going to bring all the scene that the Station had to our venue and try to expand that."

Alt-country types GUNTHER BROWN have lost guitarist JOHN BOYLE and are on the hunt for another player.

We know you didn't see this one coming: Old friend BEBE BUELL has a full-length record out, Sugar, released October 5. She's touring, too. Just because she lives in NYC doesn't mean her heart doesn't still reside here in Portland.

The DAVE ROWE TRIO have another disc ready to drop. Called The Music Never Dies, the disc will be released October 30 at the Franco American Heritage Center in Lewiston. Always dependable for folk-bluegrass-celtic songwriting, this disc features Rowe's solo material combined with trio arrangements.

Don't miss the EMPIRE October 98: They'll be stocking up a new iMac/LOCAL-ONLY JUKEBOX. Bring your disc to load.
