EASY PLEASERS | The new album by Spencer Albee — now merely SPENCER in rock speak — is brimming with big, fat psychedelic pop. It benefits greatly from the dynamic, vaguely Van Dyke Parks-y orchestration of multi-instrumentalist Sean Morin, and could very well be his best work to date (see Sam Pfeifle’s take on page 41). He celebrates its release with the indie-rock band BRENDA, who rather belatedly unveil their complexly enjoyable LP Fix Your Eyes (reviewed by this writer in the April 17 issue). Two slick shades of local rock at the Port City Music Hall. 7 pm; $12 at 504 Congress St. 207.899.4990.
