Weaving Conversation With Sky: a Celebration of Women in Poetry
Many local poets and actresses converge twice today for WEAVING CONVERSATIONS WITH SKY, a dramatized event celebrating women in poetry throughout history. The original play features renditions of works by Sappho, Emily Dickinson, Anne Sexton, the Bronte Sisters, and others — some are done as vignettes, others in the form of open mic slam — as directed by Mama’s Crowbar honcho and local firecracker Tricia Henley.
