Guess we should wait and see the outcome of the game before determining whether you’d rather attend a “BOB MARLEY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION,” which features members of local groups Cyborg Trio, Gorilla Finger Dub Band, Stream, and the Hornitz summoning the Wailers as a supergroup (Port City Music Hall, 504 Congress St., 207.899.5440), or THE MAIDS, the Mad Horse/Lorem Ipsum collaboration (I’m a company member of the latter) of Jean Genet’s dark, dysphoric drama at Lucid Stage (29 Baxter Blvd., 207.899.3993). Neither will run you much dough (the reggae’s $5; Maids pay-what-you-can), and both are perfect settings for the sort of deep introspection you’ll inevitably find yourself engaging in after a night watching do-or-die sport. Should you choose the former, don’t worry; there’ll still be occasion to wax sadomasochistic through Wednesday, when The Maids closes. All shows are at 7:30 pm.
