The venerated Mad Horse Theater Company opens BECKY SHAW tonight, a newish, funny play which deals with the hobbled condition of romance in the 21st century. Written by Gina Gionfriddo, a principal writer for Law and Order, Becky Shaw might be thought of as a Sex and the City for those who don’t suffer from short-attention spans, and so thus is much more morally tortuous and interesting. Running through February 12, Becky’s start time is 7:30 tonight at a pay-what-you-can rate, $22 otherwise. At Lucid Stage, 29 Baxter Blvd, 207.899.3993.
